Juli 2018. Erster Japanmarkt Berlin im Birgit & Bier. Ich stehe im Karussell. Alle drei japanischen Jacken sind als Prototypen fertig geworden und hängen im Wind. Trotz der vielen Besucher kann ich mich an Johannes sehr gut erinnern. Ein Ästhet. Genauer: ein unaufgeregter Ästhet. Ein Ruhiger, in sich Ruhender. Die ‚Zwei Kraniche‘ haben es ihm angetan.

Ich hatte relativ schnell die Idee, er als mein Modell. Vor kurzem erzählt er mir beim japanischen Dinner, dass er meine Anfrage auf der Arbeit gelesen und sich sehr gefreut hat. Dito. Das war von Anfang an sehr stimmig. Er ist Colorist bei einer Postproduktion / beim Film und gut die Hälfte seiner Firma tragen meine Kranich-Sweatshirts.

Unaufgeregt und stimmig ist auch unsere Freundschaft.
Das liegt an unseren gemeinsamen Leidenschaften, die zahlreich sind und auch an unserer Haltung zum Leben, unseren Werten. Tiefes Vertrauen. Wir scheinen ein ähnliches Gefühl für Stimmungen, Visuelles, Bildsprache und Lebensstil zu haben.

Ich schätze seine Klarheit, äußerlich wie innerlich.
Er ist direkt und nicht verletzend, ernsthaft und nicht zu ernst, attraktiv und nicht eingebildet, wissend, was er will und schüchtern zugleich. Ein schöner Mensch, innen wie außen.

Seine Mom, einer seiner Brüder und er haben mich im Mauerpark besucht. Sie ist eine Herzensgute. Das hat das Bild von ihm schön abgerundet.

Vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr sind wir uns das erste Mal begegnet, am 1. Juli, das wie ein Wimpernschlag, im Flug verging.

July 2018. First Japan Market Berlin at Birgit & Bier. I am standing in the carousel. All three Japanese jackets have been finished as prototypes and hang in the wind. Despite the many visitors, I can remember Johannes very well. An aesthete. More precisely: an unagitated aesthete. A quiet one, resting in himself. The ‘Two Cranes’ have done it to him.

I had the idea relatively quickly, he as my model. Recently, at the Japanese dinner, he tells me that he read my request at work and was very pleased. Ditto, it was very coherent from the beginning. He’s a colorist on a post production/film and a good half of his company wear my crane sweatshirts.

Unexciting and coherent is also our friendship.
It’s because of our shared passions, which are numerous, and also because of our attitude towards life, our values. Deep trust. We seem to have a similar sense of moods, visuals, imagery and lifestyle.

I appreciate his clarity, external and internal.
He is direct and not hurtful, serious and not too serious, attractive and not conceited, knowing what he wants and shy at the same time. A beautiful person, inside and out.

His mom, one of his brothers and he visited me in Mauerpark. She is a sweetheart. That rounded out the picture of him nicely.

We met for the first time a little over a year ago, on July 1, which flew by like the blink of an eye.

Even outside of work I am very fond of movies. I seek my balance mainly in music, I like to lose and find myself in playing the guitar. I also love to get involved with Asian, especially Japanese culture – whether it’s movies, music, food or the language.

Favorite band:

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. In the meantime I have seen them live 16 times in different countries.

Favorite song:

Japanese Breakfast – Diving Woman. I would love to take a bath in this song.
